Putting everything together isn't too difficult, but the process would be much easier if the instructions were clearer. The instructions don't walk you through the assembly process step by step. Instead, they show you a diagram with the different parts pulled apart from the scooter so that consumers can see what goes on first, second, third, etc. This eventually works, but it would have been much better if the instructions were step- by- step and if the images were larger. Well, she loved it..she's been playing with it since christmas, she made a garage for it with cardboard boxes and has become quite adept at riding it inside the house without much incidence. Along with it being fun to ride, its an easy build. the tools came with it, so you don't have to hunt down wrenches from your toolbox. I had it built in 10 minute and wrapped in 5. Its anexcellent product and pretty safe because of the wide base and fairly big wheels. I recommend highly for the active 5 year old. |

My wife and I got one of these each. She now has a bloody knee. It takes a lot of effort and is more or less unpleasant to keep these things balanced. If the street you are going down is crowned, as ours are, then with every pump of the pedals one of the back wheels will lift off the ground, tending to throw you off. The handlebar column wobbles all over the place, even when you tighten it according to the directions.When you get the thing going, you can go perhaps 10 mph. It is OK, but like a stepper machine, a lot of work. It is not fun. Oh, and wear a helmet and knee and elbow pads. These things are hard to control and seem flimsy to me. I don't get the feeling that it will last long. I purchased a T78 back in September and I am totally hooked on Trikking. I am retired and ride my T78 about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours a day. It is an all body workout and is fun. There is a learning curve, but once you get past that you can really move on the Trikke. I have lost over 13 pounds since I started Trikking. It will do up to 17 mph on flat terrain and really fly down hills. The T8 is the Top of the line Trikke in it's size category, which will work for someone up to 6'5" and 250 pounds. It folds up in a few seconds, weighs 20 pounds, and you can put it in your car trunk, carry it with you, and store it in the corner of a room standing on end when folded. The ride is great, and it handles like a sports car. If you want something that is fun, and to get in shape for the rest of your life, the Trikke will do it for you.
